Hello.

I’m Terry, a graphic designer and creative professional based in Sydney. My most recent role was with Snap Franchising, a distinguished Australian brand with a proud history of 120 years in the print industry. Operating over 125 Centers, Snap provide print and design services to thousands of businesses around the country. As a member of the Marketing team, my experience at Snap allowed me to broaden my skills into the dynamic realm of brand design within a franchising environment.

In my time at Snap’s corporate office, I saw the graphic design role shift from being a ‘nice to have’ in the Marketing department to becoming a valued creative voice within the organisation. Everything Snap produces, whether internal or customer-facing, is now considered to be a reflection of who they are, what they do, and why they do it - demonstrating their commitment to excellence in branding.

To me, brand design is like solving a riddle. And the riddle goes something like this: Try to picture in a picture, how the picture pictures a picture. In other words, the task of a brand designer is to visualise how the client imagines their brand to appear in the eyes of their customers. Design is highly empathetic, it requires you to listen, understand, and think both critically and creatively, before bringing their brand to expression through visual language.

In my free time, I enjoy exploring rural, coastal and urban areas with my camera, discovering drama in things that are common, and uncovering beauty in things that are ordinary.

I’m excited to share more about my professional journey and the blend of creative expertise and personal passions.
