Hello.

I’m Terry, a graphic designer and creative professional based in Sydney. My most recent role was with MyGuardian, a fast-growing aged and disability care provider. Joining in June 2024 through The Creative Store, I was brought on to refine their rebrand through real-world applications. From billboards and brochures to websites, branded merch, and social media assets, I worked across a broad range of projects that balanced creative expression with brand consistency. Leading the website redesign and managing a team of developers were standout experiences, pushing me to grow as a designer and collaborator.

Prior to MyGuardian, I worked at Snap Franchising, a distinguished Australian brand with over 120 years of history in the print industry. My time at Snap’s corporate office allowed me to expand my expertise in brand design within a franchising environment. I helped elevate the graphic design role from being a ‘nice to have’ to a creative voice that influenced everything Snap produced - internal and customer-facing - reflecting their commitment to branding excellence.

To me, brand design is like solving a riddle. And the riddle goes something like this: Try to picture in a picture, how the picture pictures a picture. In other words, the task is to visualise how the client imagines their brand to appear in the eyes of their customers. Design is highly empathetic, it requires you to listen, understand, and think both critically and creatively, before bringing their brand to expression through visual language.

In my free time, I enjoy exploring rural, coastal and urban areas with my camera, discovering drama in things that are common, and uncovering beauty in things that are ordinary.

I’m excited to share more about my professional journey and the blend of creative expertise and personal passions.
